Beautiful Name

I'm listening to this song right now, thinking of my family that is making preparations to return to the Mission field in Rwanda. I pray daily for their safety, but above all else, that the Word of the LORD will continue to go forth in Africa brought by Godly men and women like Sam and Nancy Shewmaker.

Beautiful Name from Different Kind of Free by ZOEgirl

Your heart I seek to find
With Your hands You fashioned mine
Let me be used by You to carry Truth
To the ends of the earth
'Til everyone's heard
My mended heart will share Your words
I will tell the world that You are God

I will run
I will fly
I will live to be a sacrifice
Through it all I'll rise above
Unafraid I'll face what comes
I will run
I will fly
And for my faith I'll live & die
I'll be strong
I will press on
For the sake of Your beautiful name
Your beautiful name

Should all life cease to grow
Should chaos take control
The only hope we know is You will save us
It's worth the cost to take up my cross
As You take back what's been lost
Until all who doubt know
You are God

I will run
I will fly
I will live to be a sacrifice
Through it all I'll rise above
Unafraid I'll face what comes
I will run
I will fly
And for my faith I'll live & die
I'll be strong
I will press on
For the sake of Your beautiful name
Your beautiful name

I'm not a captive anymore
I'm gonna soar to a new place
Take on a new pace
I know what my life is for

I will run
I will fly
I will live to be a sacrifice
Through it all I'll rise above
Unafraid I'll face what comes
I will run
I will fly
And for my faith I'll live & die
I'll be strong
I will press on
For the sake of Your beautiful name
Your beautiful name

May the LORD continue to bless their labor for His Kingdom now and forever.

Oh, this is one of my favorite songs. I'll definitely have you listen to it sometime.

My first understanding of what a missionary does was from the Shewmakers' presentations in church. I had and still have such respect for them. That's so amazing that they're going back again.

Sara,
They are such a continuing example to me and many others, of living for Christ and self-sacrifice. They are returning to Rwanda on the 40th anniversary of their first mission trip to Africa. The only word fit to describe their dedication to the Gospel for Africa is "awesome".

I have a link on my page for Impact Africa that is Sam's where you can read his words yourself. Be warned, if you read it you will become forever tied to the Shewmakers in prayer.

We'll keep praying for your family and their mission work! To quote Marilyn Meberg, they are "Jesus with skin on".
